Brisbane Broncos sign PSM’s Payne Haas to record breaking $3.5 million dollar extension

The Brisbane Broncos have continued to commit to the youth development at Red Hill with Haas agreeing to a $3.5 million dollar extension that will see the powerhouse teenage prop further his development under Master Coach Wayne Bennett and in Broncos colours until 2024.

PSM Director Chris Orr broke down the importance of the deal via social media:

“People ask me what makes a good deal? It’s a collective of things but the most important factor is the deal needs to fit the athlete. That is the most important factor when entering any negotiations on behalf of any client.

Family is of most importance to Payne, and having spent time with his partner and family, it was evident that being a short trip down the M1 away was what was best.

Next was continuing his development under a successful coach and staying within a professional organisation. It was never about money, but making sure we ticked all the right boxes and the Brisbane Broncos organisation did just that.”

Congratulations to Payne – a tremendous result for a tremendous, young athlete!
