An integral part of the Queensland State of Origin team’s dominance over the past eight years, Myles has notched 20 Origin appearances since making his debut for the Maroons in 2006, in what was only his second season in the NRL. The North Queensland born forward has also played for Australia as well as representing the NRL All Stars in the inaugural clash against the Indigenous All Stars.
At NRL level, Myles has amassed over 150 appearances since bursting onto the scene with the Bulldogs as a teenager in 2005. He played 39 matches for the Bulldogs in two seasons before being recruited to the Sydney Roosters in 2007. He was part of the Roosters’ revival to become NRL finalists in 2010 and notched a total of 90 games for the club in a successful five season stint before signing with the Gold Coast Titans ahead of the 2012 season. The 2012 season proved to be a great year for Nate, he won Representative player of the year, NRL backrower of the year and finally the Titans player of the year.
This season brought on a new challenge, becoming the Gold Coast Titans captain along side his fellow team mate and friend Greg Bird. Nate has taken on a leadership role within the club and it has proven a success for the club and players within the team especially the younger players like Ryan James.
On 13 May 2015, Myles signed a 3-year contract with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles starting in 2016
Off the field he could not be happier, with his beautiful wife Tessa James beside him ensures that he has a balance life on and off the field which Nate contributes to his career best form.
Looking forward Nate has entered the corporate world and established new businesses within different industries. The first is a clothing brand “Spanish Caravan” www.spanishcaravan.com.au and recently “TED Construction” along side former NRL player Chris Walker and fellow Titans Captain Greg Bird.
An avid animal lover Nate, is an ambassador for the RSPCA and spends numerous hours assisting them with different campaigns around Australia.
